Don't neglect the resto tree though. There are a few talents in there that will be useful for any spec.

Master Shapeshifter - Spell - World of Warcraft

Furor - Spell - World of Warcraft

Omen of Clarity - Spell - World of Warcraft

Furor is mostly just the best pre-req for Master Shapeshifter if you aren't a resto druid.

Default Leveling

I have leveled as a Bal druid all the way to 70. I found that putting points into Brambles as soon as I could helped a little for the roots not to brake. True you are slowed a little by mana regen but with the right casting you shouldn't get hit at all if only just a little. At lvl20 cast Starfire,Farie Fire (spam this right after SF until if cast) roots, moonfire, wrath until dead. If roots brake pop Natures Graps back up and wrath until dead.

If you open with starfire you spam your next cast when Starfire is about 3/4 done casting as more then likely the crit will give haste to the next cast FF or MF.

Why is it when I root Enemies and then use Wrath it Breaks the Root?

Default My thoughts

well i have lvled 2 druids one horde and one ally. for the 1st 20 lvls just did a mix spec but used the balance spells. at 20 I went feral up to lvl 71 and changed over as soon as i had got a set of balance gear. one took me just over 7 1/2 days in game time and the other just over 8 days. to hit 80

As a feral cat i almost never use prowl just taking 1-3 mobs at a time popping in and out to hit rejuvenation.
