Though as feral spec, prepare to get hit A LOT. At least until your cat form gets some stuns. That's one thing that attracted me personally to balance spec (respecced feral for leveling). You can root enemies in place and then spam wrath to kill em and root em again when it breaks.

Only problem with early on balance is the lack of the boomkin form, which makes balance so much better. Feral is usually (not always, just usually) the preferred leveling spec mainly because of less need for regen after fights. Kitties are the easiest way to level, bears aren't much for damage so those first few sets of levels will be kinda slow no matter what you do.

I get asked "What is the best leveling spec for druids" all the time. The best way imo to level a druid is to go feral until you get to level 40. Once their you can choose to go boomie or choose to stay feral. Both tend to level pretty fast after that point.
The only spec I would suggest not leveling as is resto (unless you plan on strictly leveling in dungeons or BG's).
