Default Why Did You Choose a Warlock?

Simple question here. Why did you choose to make a warlock?

I remember making my warlock being all ZOMG I'LL BE A DEMONOLOGIST AND GET METAMORPHASIS AND TURN INTO A DEMON AND BE ALL KAPOW!, but then I ditched my warlock at level 13. Recently picked him back up and started leveling him as Affliction thinking it'd be viable for raids and instances, and lets just say it is, soulstone, summoning, dots, and CC on Undead/Elementals.

Default why a warlock?

My warlock is my only character right now and was my first character ever. I only started playing about 3-4 months before wrath came out, but all of my friends had been playing since the bc endgame content. I basically told them I wanted to be a caster - they said okay: priest = healer, holy magic/everyone needs healers, mage = burst damage, frost, fire or arcane damage, warlock = shadow and fire damage over time + burst damage + melee pet damage. My main goal was to be as evil as possible; so an undead warlock seemed like a perfect fit.

I love all the cloth casters and will probably be making a priest alt after the duel spec option comes out.

I rolled a warlock for two reasons, it was a change of pace from my rogue and my fav char on guild wars was a necromancer/mesmer

At the time when I was creating yet another character I was a little depressed and I liked the thought of a "dark and demon" class. Eventually I grew to love it and he has been my main ever since

Dots and promises of a stronger source of power found deep within the dark side.
