Default Patch 3.2

The next patch should be coming out in the some what near future. Do you think Blizzard is final going to fix some of the problems that warlocks are having? How about are they going to fold to the other class that are saying that warlocks are OP because they can crit for 8k with a chaos bolt?

I do hope we do lose some of our burst damage because they gave us that burst because we get owned so fast by melee and our only way of fighting back is by killing them in a 4 GCD window. I do hope we switch back to the build like the SL-SL spec that lets us tank melee alot easier without getting owned in 1.48 seconds. Living longer > having burst damage?

Your thoughts?

warlocks

Banish: Effect will now be canceled if Banish is recast on a banished target.
Its nice to have when you banish something in a raid and you wait 20 seconds for it to pop out

Dreadsteed: Can now be learned at level 40.
Felsteed: Can now be learned at level 20.

Soulshatter cooldown reduced to 3 minutes, down from 5 minutes
Talents.
Our aggro problems have been answered... well almost... but better

◦Affliction

Pandemic: Now also increases the critical damage bonus of Haunt by 100%.

Demonology

Fel Domination cooldown reduced to 3 minutes, down from 15 minutes.
HUGE PVP buff no longer need to wait 15 mins when our healer lets our pet die 2 times in a row -.-

Destruction

Empowered Imp: The warlock’s critical hit chance is increased to 100%, up from 20% for the next spell cast after the Imp critically hits a target.

Fire and Brimstone: Reduced to 2/4/6/8/10% increased damage from Incinerate and Chaos Bolt on targets afflicted with Immolate, down from 3/6/9/12/15%.
The nerf to our destruction damage was needed to increase our survivability like I said in my first post.

Resilience: No longer reduces the amount of damage done by damage-over-time spells, but instead reduces the amount of all damage done by players by the same proportion. The other effects of resilience (reducing critical chance, critical damage and mana drain effects) have not changed.

It would be a buff to all the Aff warlocks with their evil dots.

All pets now receive 40% of their master’s resilience and 100% of their master’s spell penetration. In addition, if a player is at their appropriate spell hit chance or hit chance maximum, their pet will be at the maximum for spell hit chance, hit chance, and expertise. If they are below the maximum, their pet will be proportionately below those maximums.

I cant say how happy I am about this. Our pets will no longer get 4 shotted with 9k crits

I truly hate warlocks now. You get a 5% reduction to damage and survivability up the yang. And I’ll be damned if you didn’t get a crap load of “crit friendly’ buffs as well.
I can see where it was probably not fair to be 2 shotted by melee, but when you can stand toe to toe with melee and OWN the melee something is not right. If anything they should have provided you with an instant CC type ability for kiting...oh wait they sorta already have that in CoE, succubus, and fear.

I can’t stand when I go toe to toe with a lock and even after breaking their fear immediately still getting 2 shotted. I know warriors are unique because well we’re not as bursty as we used to be. I think EVERYONE has the same 2 shot complaint to lodge against DK’s and to a lesser extent ret pally’s
